This treatment is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalising those tissues It consists of a group of manual techniques applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement to parts of the body to help increase the blood supply to the treating area and promote movement and healing.

Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage is a complementary therapy intended to treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile.
It involves using combination of Deep Tissue pressure Trigger Point, and Myofacial Release. It can be very beneficial to relieve a number of issues such as aches, pains, sports injuries and headaches. Karen has a unique ability to help ease lower back, neck and shoulder problems.

Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage is a technique that uses a combination of firm but gentle pressure to work the superficial and deep layers of the muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic tightness and painful muscles tension within areas including neck, shoulder and back. This technique is designed to promote relaxation and improve blood circulation whilst helping to bring about reduced physical and mental fatigue.

Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage uses smooth, gentle, flowing techniques to help promote general relaxation, to help relieve muscular tension, impove circulation and range of movement.
Relaxation Massage is best known as a form of Swedish Massage often used in day spas where the aim is to relax, renew and rejuvenate mind body and spirit. Whilst relaxation massage is a wonderful treatment it is less effective than the more firm and deeper styles like Remedial and Therapeutic Massage, than we would normally recommend when you suffering pain and recommend relaxation for more emotional stress and tension. Karen would often combine Relaxation Massage with Reflexology treatments.
